![]() About the Band ![]() ![]() Since 1998, TSG have been developing a brand of hard-rock all its own. Drawing from a blend of influences including punk rock, heavy metal, funk, and ska, TSG's sound has evolved into a form of hard, crowd-pleasing, high-energy rock unique to the band. From 1998 to 2001, the band consisted of Pat on bass and vocals, Daniel Lemmon and James on guitar, and Peter Phillips on Drums. They quickly recorded a couple of live bootlegs of themselves and a basement recording of their original songs. James left to pursue his education abroad in 2000, but still played with the band when he returned during summer and winter breaks. Pat left the band in 2001 and was replaced by Mark Slevinsky on bass and Ian on vocals. A solid list of the band's original music, established a foundation that can be heard on their 'second' effort "No Cash Value". At the release show for "No Cash Value", Ian neglected to show up, instead opting to go see a Wilco concert. He called halfway through the set and informed the others that he was quitting the band. The band made it through the performance with Mark and Dan on vocals. After that incident, the band tried to recruit another vocalist to replace Ian. Unsuccessful, the band resolved itself to proceed with the remaining members, now with Mark as the lead vocalist. From 2004 onward, the band has maintained a power-trio configuration with Daniel, Mark, and Peter. Consisting enirely of engineers, the band also claims the title of best engineered rhythm in the scene. With a focused sound and recent efforts geared towards writing new material, TSG are now eager to perform and record. TSG went into the studio this fall to record a new album, hilighting its finest material, spanning the band's entire history. Stay tuned for free downloads of the new material! ![]() Mark
